Used a spray bottle for a while at a time. My girlfriend is not that confused. I was about to order a gallon, glad I didn't. Maybe read "For Horses Only". Horse hair is different from poodle hair. I re-read the packaging to make sure it is for dogs. Not impressed.

Bought this for my long haired llama who gets irritated easily when brushed. Absolutely ZERO hair pulling, which is what I (and he) wanted! The smell is pleasant, just spray on and comb through. I used curry and a lady comb and he was very cooperative which surprised me. He usually spits and swears lol. Sigh. What do we llama lovers put up with!

Well it really worked. I have two long haired German Shepherds that are covered in thorns, especially on the belly. Since this is a sensitive area, it was impossible to comb out burrs and stickers. I rubbed a small amount of this stuff into her fur with my hands and the thorns popped out! When dry, they weren't greasy, which was a problem. My boys look and feel great.

This works great with my Golden Mountain Karakul after bathing and drying. I spoke to the company and they said it is very important that the dog is completely dry before applying this product! Also note that if you spray this on your pet and then lie down on a hard wooden floor, you'll scoot over it like you've just sprayed bail all over.

I've only used this once on my mini Aussie. It really did what was promised in terms of easy combing of tangles, shiny coat and a pleasant smell. A big problem was that if she ever put the product on a bare floor, it made the floor super slippery! At the top of the wooden stairs, of course, scary. I didn't need much either. I had to buy them again. (And clean the floors) Seriously guys, it was great!

I am a groomer and have been using it for YEARS! makes combing thick undercoat and tangles much easier and makes the coat soft and flowing. I've used this on a few poodles who looked like they just needed a shave to get started with anything, but after a deep clean bath, this spray, and a few patients, knots and tangles are minimal and manageable. . I also use it every time I bathe my Aussies at home, it really makes grooming and combing easier with little stress for the dog.

I did not purchase this product for what most people use it for. I have two corgis who really like snow. One has normal fur, which isn't a problem, and the other has fluffy fur with snowballs stuck to the undercarriage. They obviously annoy him, and he obsessively freaks out and tries to chew them off himself unless we put him in a warm bath to melt them instantly. We found that a quick spray of ShowSheen about 30 minutes before going out was enough. Snow doesn't stick and he can romp freely…
