I installed this winch on a 2017 Honda Pioneer 500 UTV. I mounted the winch to a KFI winch mount that was made specifically for my model UTV. This is a good, powerful, affordable winch with a remote control and a wired switch on the handlebars in case the remote batteries run out. Both switches work perfectly. To turn on the REMOTE CONTROL you need to simultaneously press (both) the "IN” and "OUT” buttons for 3 seconds. Then the REMOTE indicator lights up and the remote control works. I bought this for my 2020 Canam Outlander 450. The mounting plate did not fit my ATV. Doesn't match the 4 holes Canam already had. I had to buy a new drill bit because I had to drill my own holes to mount my quad, even had to drill a hole in the quad base plate because the winch is over one of the 4 holes. I wanted to return this winch because the holes from the positive cable to the motor were too small and I really didn't want to change anything in case I had to return it but I have adjusted it to to fit. If your bike has never had a winch like mine, make sure you buy a Polaris winch mount. It cost me about $40 which is not that much. The package arrives undamaged which is always a good sign. The rocker cable is 8 feet long. The connection of the rocker switch cable to the control box is a screw connection, so that there is no possibility of confusion if the connection is correct. I measured the length of the synthetic cable at 49 feet 6 inches.
