Best entry level clippless pedals! Great to learn on!

These are my first clippless pedals. I paired them with Tomasso cycling shoes. These pedals have been super easy to learn to use. They are dual sided which makes clipping in super easy. They are adjustable, but I haven't had to adjust mine at all. They have a good amount of float from the factory and feel very secure when clipped in. Being all metal they seem like they will last a long time. I have been using them for months now and have have no issues!

Pros
  • Excelente
Cons
  • The shoes studs get stuck in the pedal.

Great for trying out clipless pedals!

Note: I can't speak much to longevity, as I've only had these pedals for around a month. In that time I've put about 200 miles on them.I had a pair of flats on my bike, but I've always been fairly curious about clipless pedals. However I still wanted to be able to hop on my bike to ride it down to the store without having to worry about what shoes I'm wearing. These combo pedals were a nice solution.I knew I wanted to try combo pedals, but a set of Shimano combos was 80-100. I didn't want to…

Pros
  • Very install friendly!!
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for long distance rides, causing fatigue and discomfort

Good Pedals - my new review

These are used on my indoor bike trainer. No complaints. They are a bit stiff when new, but loosen up fine with use. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Had no problem clipping in and out of these. Better than expected or the money.
Cons
  • The dual platform design can make it difficult to clip in and out quickly

Great value and increased ride efficiency

I'm waiting for the road bike I ordered to arrive (2-8 months). Meanwhile I'm making improvements to my Hyper Spinfit bicycle to enhance my ride experience. These pedals are a great price and have performed well through 35 miles. They are easy to clip in and out. The bearings are smooth and they are study.

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for riders who frequently stop and start during their rides

Entry Level Pedals - my new review

So far a good entry level pair of pedals. I wasnt expecting anything much more than entry level. To all the folks complaining about it squeaks or didnt meet their expectations. I mean really. It's a 30 dollar pedal like you're that petty to complain about something like a click? It's FREAKING 30 BUCKS CHEAP MF. Get a SHIMANO then.

Pros
  • Looks and fits great! Loved them so much we bought another pair for our other Cannondale.
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for all types of terrain, making it difficult to use on certain trails

Works great best in my review

A great padal well designed that engages and disengage shoes with reasonable force and hold the shoes in place very tight and secure.

Pros
  • These pedals are awesome best pedal for your buck. Not cheesy at all very nice and well made
Cons
  • The pedals may be too slippery when wet, causing accidents and injuries

excellent for the price

This review is for the pedals that do not have one side as a flat, but both sides have the spd clip in. I mounted them on my road bike and took a short ride, so I can't comment on their longevity. The clipless mechanism works just fine and they are reasonably lightweight. The description indicates that the bearings are self-lubricating, which means that they are essentially oil-impregnated bushings. If the quality is high enough, these should last a long time without needing to be greased. It…

Pros
  • Pedals & Cleats
Cons
  • The cleats can become misaligned, leading to an unsafe ride

Sloppy hold on cleats

I have been riding with these pedals on my Miyata while on a mag turbo trainer over the winter. From day one I've been disappointed. The sheet metal cleat retainers are crudely made, sharp edged, and allow for so much vertical clearance that a brand new pair of SPDs slide all over and rock up and down with the spring tension maxed out. They've already worn down a par of cleats because of this condition. I'm going to try and remove the retainers and see if I can remove some material from the…

Pros
  • ‎0.48 Kilograms
Cons
  • The pedals may not provide enough stability when standing on your bike

Not bad but arrived chipped and without installation tools

I like the style overall but it arrived with the outer chrome paint chipped. Also frustrating that it doesn't come with a tool to install it so had to buy that separately.

Pros
  • Made from high-quality materials, these pedals are built to withstand the rigors of off-road riding and everyday use
Cons
  • The pedals may be too stiff, causing discomfort in your feet and legs

Good quality and value, smooth ride.

These are great, I swapped out the petals my indoor spin bike’s cages, much smoother ride. They are a little hard to clip into. but I think it’s my shoes. I did not use the shoes chips which these petals came with. Great value and quality, definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Designed to work seamlessly with Shimano cranks, these pedals are a perfect upgrade for any rider looking to improve their bike's performance
Cons
  • The clips may not work well with certain types of shoes, leading to an unstable or unsafe ride

Works as design but some edges are sharp

I put over 150miles already using this pedals and worked great so far. My only complaint is that some edges are a bit sharp or rough. I supposed you get what you paid for with the unpolished finish quality. Otherwise, I like it as it is lighter than even the expensive Shimano equivalent and works as design.

Pros
  • Versatile design: The dual platform design of these ZERAY clipless pedals make them perfect for a wide range of cycling styles, from mountain biking to touring and city commuting
Cons
  • The cleats may wear down unevenly, leading to an ineffective ride

Smooth and work well

These are the first pedals I have had like this. So, I can’t really compare to Shimano or anyone else. I have had them a few months. From what I can tell so far they are smooth and work well.

Pros
  • ‎ZP-101Z Black Dual Platform Bike Pedal
Cons
  • The pedals may not provide enough support for your feet during long rides

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Cleat did not lock in from the start.

Clip stayed wide open, no pressure at all from spring, so the cleat didn't lock. Even fully adjusted, it was still not tight enough to hold the cleat. Junk

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • The cleats may wear out faster than other pedal options, requiring frequent replacements

Poor Construction: my feedback

Most pedals have a little piece near the end to make it easy to attach and remove the pedals from the bike. These did not have that. Getting them into place wasn't terrible, but removing one was a nightmare. It required large muscles and a vise. Additionally, one had damaged threads that I didn't notice when I attached the pedal. This means that even though it seemed secure, on my 4th ride, the pedal popped out. It took forever to detach the pedal from my shoe. It was while trying to detach the

Pros
  • They get the job done for a reasonable price.
Cons
  • The system may be difficult to adjust or set up properly

Good basic pedal - my new review

I don't know about the "chrome peeling complaints" yet but I am expecting it to rust eventually (it's a mountain bike pedal.duh). After adjusting the tension screws they work fine.

Pros
  • Easy to install: Thanks to their simple, straightforward design, these pedals are easy to install on most bikes, making them a convenient and cost-effective upgrade for any cyclist
Cons
  • The cleats may become loose or fall off while riding, leading to a dangerous situation

Received a used item/ missing cleats

Got as a gift. Looks like someone returned the item in the past. No cleats included. It looks pretty sturdy. If only the seller would just send me the cleats.

Pros
  • Perfect!
Cons
  • The dual platform design can make it difficult to find the right position for your foot

Revainrating 1 out of 5

cannot tighten it with a regular wrench for installing pedals

I don't understand why it doesn't have the small flat surface to let me use the wrench to tighten it. the right pedal is hard to manually screw in and I tried everything to turn it.

Pros
  • ‎9/16''
Cons
  • The SPD cleats may not be compatible with other brands besides Shimano

These are pretty poor. Even at the lowest clamp setting they would not release my shoes. (Fortunately I put these on my recumbent trike and not my bike, or I definitely would have fallen) I couldn't figure it out till I ran my finger along the cleat holding parts. The machining is awful! There are metal burrs from the manufacturing stamp/brake -- enough to cut your finger -- that bite into the cleats. I have SPDs on 2 trikes and 4 bikes. I've never not been able to get out. One bike has…

Pros
  • Love that you can use your clip shoes or flip the pedal and use regular shoes....
Cons
  • The cost of the pedals and cleats may be higher compared to basic pedal options

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent but not weatherproof

They rust pretty fast, but otherwise a decent set of pedals for the price. Easy in and out and easy attach detach with a wrench.

Pros
  • Easy to install, functional. Quality could be better
Cons
  • Could only clip out by turning foot to inside of pedal, could not clip out by turning foot to outside.

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not good at all good for me

We were able to easily assemble one pedal but the second one is imposing to set. We had different ppl try to screw the pedal in but no success. Very frustrating and very much dissatisfied

Pros
  • Great for my new bike. Easy to click and doing the job.
Cons
  • The grip may not be as strong as other pedal options, which can cause slips and falls
