I'm pretty sure it's the same light as on .

I'm pretty sure this is the same light as in the aquarium I bought at the pet store. My light from it lasted over a year. I ordered these on November 20th, it is now January 9th and the light has burned out. It really burned out a few days ago. Not sure what the difference is but it was a waste of money, time and energy. I think this time I'm going to the pet store.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Won't be long! - Incandescent bulbs

I have had to buy two in the last 6 months. I bought them from petco and only had to buy 2-3 a year. I thought it would be $3 cheaper here, but turns out I'll end up paying more with it in the long run. The last one only lasted 2 months. The one before 3. If you're okay with buying a new one every 2 months, this is for you, but if you're willing to pay the extra $3 and get a product that lasts!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Comfortable for my snake

I ordered this for my ball python. Like most balls, my snake doesn't like bright lights, but it didn't bother her at all. I have mine in my bedroom and the light is soft enough to help sleep. The temperature on the underlying substrate is approximately as stated on the box (86-90 degrees) as measured with an infrared thermometer. I put mine on a screen in a 12 inch aquarium and use it with a thermostat that also controls the under tank heater. All in all I recommend this product.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
