Good product best for building materials

This zinc strip is a little thicker than some other brands. I liked this feature for my application. Easy to use and install.

Use for electroplating Zinc plating

I use this for galvanizing galvanized steel. Great for this purpose as I can easily cut and shape into any shape I need to cover.

Roofs Look Like New

Mold on roofs has always been a problem in Massachusetts. This zinc foil can be easily attached to the edge of a ridge tile with the appropriate embossing silicone. Problem solved!

Pros
  • Ease of Installation
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Exactly what it says on the tin

Nothing to say here - everything came and works exactly as expected. Fairly easy to cut with scissors and also easy to nail (used on the garage roof to combat moss). As with all rolled metal, the box it comes in is quite heavy - if you have kids they will enjoy it.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

This product was as easy to install as other metal battens

This product was similar to another more expensive roofing strip I had purchased. In fact, it was so similar that I wonder if it was really made in the same place. Both were advertised as 50 feet long, and both were about 5 feet shorter on the roof, which we measure twice exactly 50 feet. It was just as easy to install as the others.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • The list will go on.

I use this to control slugs in my garden

I am buying this product to use in my garden to keep slugs away. They don't like climbing on it. So when my veggies first come out (and are very attractive to snails), I put a ring around the bed. Also, I add some organic snail repellant around the outside of the ring. This method worked very well. This year the snails ate my bulbs for the first time, so I didn't put a zinc ring around this bed. I transplanted and put in a zinc ring and now they are growing again. The only reason I'm not rating

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Volume

Does the job - building supplies

My shingles were replaced 8 years ago and black mold started to form on my north roof. After removing the form, I installed the strips along (just below) the ridge like I did on my old roof. It keeps mold at bay and lasts longer than the expected lifespan of premium shingles. But I highly recommend your roofer incorporate this when they install a new roof (which I forgot!). I can only assume that most of the zinc shafts sold there are rebranded, so it becomes a question of price, which is…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
