    Not worth the money. Now I have useless ice boots

    This product is junk. I tried adding velcro straps. They literally fell apart when putting them on. I tried to insert them on snow and ice and walk with them. Everything was fine until I got maybe three blocks and he just fell.

    waste of money! in Ice & Snow Grips

    Do not buy this article! I bought 3 pairs. A pair for dad, mom and teenage son for a trip to the ice caves. They didn't cling to the boots, they just broke off from walking in the snow or fell off the boot and got lost. This is a poorly made product, don't waste your money.

    Ice grips for shoes, jewelry and watch accessories

    Not used yet but used similar products. I bought 2 pairs, one for me and one for my husband. His pair is missing one of the straps that runs across the top of the foot. If necessary, we will come up with something to make it work. I don't want to deal with returns etc.

    Pull when you need it

    Took them to UP Michigan and they made it great. Great for easy ice walking and even rock climbing the small snow and ice trail at Pictured Rock. They are not aggressive to have full confidence but they definitely gave us the confidence we need on our hikes. I would recommend them for general ice hiking on sub-extreme surfaces.

    Bad technique. Has anyone ever tested this in practice?

    I have tested crampons from this brand alongside spikes from Ceestyle 11, this one is lost due to schmearry sides. Spikes are not long enough for grip. The heel is too small, so the heel is unstable. Bad technique. Buy Ceestyle - long spikes that are easy to put on and very stable on the foot.

    Used with my wet suit - protects boots.

    I know it's an odd use but it's now a regular part of my Pacific NW scuba gear. Easy to put on with a velcro strap, but protects my dry suit's built-in boots and soles and prevents me from slipping in the rain (hahahaha, Pacific NW, rain.duh). I've also used them in icy Canada. highlighted.

    Not Quite Perfect: Shoe Care and Accessories

    These are great ice cleats, down to the minimal toe coverage. The material is good and durable, and the metal boots are very good. Don't lose your boots if they come off your boot/boots. The main problem is that not enough material is used on the toes and they tend to slip off the fingers. I fixed the defect by threading the lace through the loop and attaching it to the boot - the problem is gone. I tried to add a photo but it doesn't work.

    Took her on an epic hike through Angels Landing and Narrows in May 2021. It held up fairly well until the end of the Narrows hike, where the rubber broke from the extra support strap held up on either side. They may have worked well for hiking shoes, but I've used them for running shoes (Angels Landing) and water shoes (The Narrows) for comfort reasons.     It's useless unless you get to the head camp. Do they offer traction on snow? I don't know, haven't tried it. Do they offer traction in the mud? Yes, definitely, but even on the slightest incline, these things will snag when your shoe slides over them, causing you to either slide over your toe on the way down or over your toe on the way up.
