Bought specifically for a sliding door. It stays out of the way when open. The instructions were unclear and a little confusing on where to put the screws. Read carefully and look closely at the photos and actual item before beginning. Very durable, looks great and is multifunctional as a large side table. The only problem is that the wands on the inside aren't very dog-friendly, so wrap the blanket around the perimeter.

I asked someone to assemble this for me as I have absolutely no talent for it. This took about an hour. It looks great, good size. I had an issue with a latch falling off, and I don't know if it's a design issue or who assembled it. As I said, these things are not my forte. But I'm glad it's a nice and durable way to pack a dog. Wire drawers spoil the look of the room.

We have 2 boxes for our pup - this one and one made of metal. She will willingly go to this cage for a nap, but not another. This drawer looks great in our living room and also serves as a side table. The main complaint is that there was a small scratch on the finish upon arrival. Also, the fact that the door slides into the box makes it smaller and our dog bed doesn't fit when the door is open. Otherwise we love it

Actually a beautiful piece of furniture! I bought it because anything can be more attractive than a regular dog crate, but I didn't expect it to be so durable and beautifully made. The pocket door is also a great feature so it can be left open when not in use. Works both as a sofa end table and as a large dog cage for our 20 lb Jack Russell. However, it was difficult to find a suitable mattress or bed. You need something around 12x24.
