Brittle plastic plus grabby drill bit equal cracked box

First, I gave this a four star to be more fair to the seller and product. I should not have tried drilling final size freehand while also holding the box in the other hand, but this is a warning to others: grabby plastic + big drill bit = big force. Broke the first one in my hand (ow; big duh, safety third moment), but eventually I did manage to get a 1/4" instrument panel connector, an XLR male panel connector, and a 1:1 audio transformer to fit in the box. Nice Enclosures for my opinion

Bought to put an ESP zigbee dry contact relay on my garage door. These are perfect for the application. There are grommets for the wires and they are pretty thick. Best one i have found. They are sturdier and cheaper than soap dishes that i used to use.

  • I used the. To house nodeNCU components for LED lights. Very sturdy and the perfect size!

  • The surface of the plastic may be prone to scratching or scuffing, making it look worn over time

A quality product good for me

Excellent work-ability when drilling or blade-cutting. Size was just as advertised and appearance was clean and shiny. Top fits the base perfectly. Honestly, I have no complaint with such a product costing less than a buck and a quarter per box.

Basic box on my review.

These project cases are pretty basic. They simply snap shut. I suppose you could glue or caulk them if you needed a tight seal. I drilled a couple of holes for wires on mine. They work just fine for the money.

not brittle good for me

The 1" height version just pops off (no screws), and cutting slots in the side for wires was easy with a fine tooth saw. No chipping or cracking in the stiff plastic. Easy to saw and file.

Looks very good and was happy with the qty

I'm not using this in an outdoor area so I cannot really discuss waterproofing - however using it to build a Pixel tester - it was the perfect box(s). S because I drilled the 1st two wrong but since I got more than 1 in the order 3 times was a charm and I gave two to a friend. Very happy with the purchase.

NIce project box best in my review

NIce little project boxes. Just watch the size -- they are small. I only needed to mount two small switches so they were perfect

nice size for esp32 dev board

The 2.40 x 1.41 x 0.98 inch (61 x 36 x 25 mm) size is large enough for an esp32 dev board. I don't quite know how I'm going to mount the board, though.

Great for yuppie gate signal box

Well built boxes with very tough plastic. Boxes snap together well and appear to seal properly. Thought I only needed one but glad I got the multi pack as I destroyed a couple before finally getting the proper positioning of all my holes. Used the box for a gate opener signal and had to reposition holes before getting all the wiring to align properly. Be certain to get the correct size for your project.

  • Good quality. Snaps closed. Easily opens with a flathead screwdriver.

  • The box may not be able to accommodate larger wires or cables
