Review on Kirschen 1111000 Firmer Hornbeam Handles by Phillip Hoover

This was my first real chisel set. I ordered it from amazon.de (you can find my previous review there). These are great tools. I've been using them for almost a year now (as someone with a renewed interest in woodworking). They hold the cutting edge very well, lie perfectly in the hand, do not tire the hands when cutting and are good for cleaning. I expect to use them as my standard set of general purpose chisels for the rest of my life. The set of six comes in a box and requires lapping, sharpening and sharpening before use. Some bits have residue on the tip and/or base of the shank, which may turn some people off. However, this does not affect how well they work. Please note that these are metric units, not imperial units.
