After reading some of the reviews on here I almost gave up on these surface screws. I have used Prime Line products in the past and have always had good experiences. I repair all interior doors in the house. I changed the color of my hardware and made it easier to replace the old finish studs I installed on my three sets of double doors. Literally 15 minutes ago I installed the first of the three and everything worked as expected. Any negative reviews that have been written do not reflect my experience. I think a lot of people have no idea how to properly install stuff like this. Take your time, make sure the measurements are correct, drill the PILOT holes, then install. I've used my impact wrench with no problem, but if you're having trouble operating a power tool I would suggest hand tightening the screws, it would be easy to remove the small screw heads. The hardware is easy to install and works very well. I know that sometimes there can be bad devices, but in my case it worked really well. If I have trouble installing the other two sets I will come and edit this review.
