
I usually buy these for all my cars so I settled on a 2020 Ford Ranger and immediately noticed, more than any other car I've owned, that the low power was so low it bothered me. The top end went pretty well, but that's where you really step on the gas and I don't drive a truck, so it's not that useful. So the low end loss was enough to bother me enough to just use the default filter, which is a very good filter, so I'll just replace it as needed. K&N didn't increase or decrease gas mileage, it just stayed the same but reduced low-end power to sacrifice high-end power. If you race your truck this may be good for you at a high level, but for daily regular drivers who don't water it constantly, a stock filter is a better choice overall.
