I bought these because I was installing an irrigation system. I have a very long water line that is 2" in diameter so I needed these large cutters to tap into this line. The good aspect of these is they cut through Schedule 40 pipe like butter. They really make it easy. The big downside is they cut large pipe crooked. Pipe that is 1" or less got cut nice and straight, but when I made the cuts on 2" pipe, I routinely ended up with slanted cuts no matter how hard I tried to keep it cutting straight. I was able to make it work, but I didn't have a single cut on 2" pipe that was completely straight.
