Boy was I surprised!

At the price paid, I wasn't expecting much of this brad nailer. However, I must say it worked great! It was flawless in installing trim throughout the house.

Fantastic price good for me

Great value. Use it all the time. I would give 5 stars if it had a pressure adjustment on the unit instead of having to adjust my compressor output

Cons
  • Inefficient performance

This nailer is a great quality tool , if you're looking for an 18 gauge 2 inch nailer so this is it .I've worked with it all day and i'm very happy with this purchase. actually after getting this nailer i decided to order anothernumax tool - this time the 2 in one nailer /stapler which is also in this price range. i'm sure it's the same build quality.good job numax!

Great for household use

Bought this nail gun to put up base and crown moldings thorugh out my home (did not use in a commercial or builder setting). The nail gun is easy to use and I did not have any problems with it sticking, misfiring or locking up. It appears to be well made. Having the nail gun saved me hours of time.

NuMax SBR50 - Good inexpensive brad nail gun.

I had a project of nailing a lot of T & G paneling between the ceiling floor joists in a basement remodel for our home and the thought of hand nailing was out of the question. Never used a pneumatic nail gun before so I read the reviews on numerous brad nail guns and was considering purchasing a more expensive name brand 18 gage 2-inch gun. Being a novice I was concerned of quality of the less expensive units but the reviews of the NuMax were good even from the pros. The price was right even if

Pros
  • Nailer doesn't have a rubber tip so it bruses the wood
Cons
  • Expensive replacement parts

Best nailer for the price

Looked at various other models before finally coming across Numax. All the other name brands cost at least 3 times the cost of this. I figured i'll give it a shot and see how it goes. After all if it doesn't work I can always return it with ebay! I'm a novice when it comes to nailers. This was my first ever nailer, so the learning curve was a little steep (dont laugh!). After reading the manual I bought the correct brad nails from the local store and after a little struggle figured out how to…

Pros

Cons
  • Looks outdated

No Problems! for my opinion

I got this on sale on ebay and received it shortly thereafter. I used the NuMax brad nailer to put crown molding on my kitchen cabinets. It was my first time ever using a nailer. I am a female DIY. I only wished I discovered this before I put put the crown molding in my living room, family room, kitchen and dining room. I did it the old fashion was with a hammer. There is no turning back now I'm hooked. There was no malfunctioning of the device, it just took me some time to figure out how to…

Pros
  • Very happy with this tool. Does the job I need at a very affordable price.

Well this is my first day using this numax 18 gauge brad nailer and i like it cause is light works really good and it dont leave a big hole were you put your nails. So far i like it. Make sure you guys oil your gun every day or any time you gana use it that way it oh last a long time

Pros
  • We finished two rooms in a basement. More than paid for itself. No problems.
Cons
  • High maintenance requirements

OK product until you have misfire

New product, after 11 shots the brad nail jammed and bent in the gun, required that I remove the faceplate which is where the issue begins. There are 3 screws holding on the initial plate, tightened down so far they bend the provided allen wrench trying to get them out, did they super glue these things in? Stripped one and had to use vice grips to try to get it out, found I still could not access the top of the nail so had to try to remove the 2nd plate to get to nail. Here again only got 1 of…

Good Product for the price!

I got this Brad Nailer, cause I do some work around the house and like to build things every so often. I debated between this and one from HF since I don't use this everyday. (This is a bit nicer and cheaper than the HF one).I was just building a small cabinet and it was perfect for the project. I used some 5/8 and also some 1.5 inch brads. It worked as expected. I did have a few misfires with the 5/8 inch ones. It might be because I did not put the oil in the gun the first time. The 2nd time I

Second Numax product

I purchased a Numax 16 ga Brad nailer for a stair tread replacement project. It performed well. No jambs. I used oil as directed. I think this is key to these tools performance. The new 18 ga nailer has done well so far. I am a hobbiest so for my occasional use of these tool fits the bill. Good price and reliable.

Pros
  • Works perfectly for installing trim!
Cons
  • Poor ergonomics

A great cheap nailer for odd small jobs

Just needed to reattach some trim to shelf edges, and was told that my framing nailer was way OTT for that job (but surely bigger more power, nore depth , bigger nails can hold everything). OK so after several garage tryouts (still a BIG nail guy) accepted the wisdom of my friends (and the whole internet) and went for smaller brad nailer. Not a carpenter, so didn't need industrial strength or price, so this little NuMax did the trick. No lockups, all nails driven succesfully, nice and…

Excellent Tool good for me

Came quickly. Easy to use right out of the box -- I added a drop of oil in the air intake, put in some nails, attached to the air line, and immediately used it for 50 brads or so. No misfires. Nailed straight. Great price. It fits in tight spaces.

One of the best tool purchases I've made

One of the best tool purchases I've made.I've been using this for 2 years and have never had a single jam. The form factor is great and it's incredibly well built.I bought this thinking it would be a cheap junker that I could use for a one off job, but it was one of those rare surprised. Also - brad nailers in general are just an amazingly fast and simple way to build things. If you're making proper joints then you can slap some glue on and shoot a couple brads in, instead of fumbling with…

Inexpensive and great tool

I use this to hold up some shelving braces with some 2” brad nails. Used around 90 brad nails in a row putting in place the bottom and it never jammed.

Pros
  • Pneumatic power for efficient and consistent performance
Cons
  • Slow customer service response time

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far so good best in my review

I haven't used it much but it has done the job I ask of it. It can drive the 2" nail braids in without any problem, I've used it on redwood and fir, not sure how it would fair against hardwood. For a lite weight home maintenance air compressor stapler it's great.Sometimes it can be a pain trying to get into the nooks and crannies. You have to seat the stapler tip in the spot you want to staple but if the little guide tip doesn't press down all the way the stapler will refuse to staple.

  • great

  • Difficult to grip

Does what it's supposed to

Placed order with amazon. First one came and looked like it had been used with scratches. Called to have replacement sent. Order was promptly replaced and new one arrived. Used it to nail trim on over >1000 sqft of flooring. Did the job beautifully. Solid product for the price, would buy again. Just make sure it's new and not used when you get it.

Pros
  • Good Product
Cons
  • Limited brad size compatibility

Feels like a quality tool.

I just got this tool. I have been doing woodworking for 19 years and I have always bought the best tools I could find. My name brand brad nailer just started giving me trouble after 15 years of use. Parts to fix it are more than this complete tool so I thought I would give this one a try. I just got it and used it on a project with flawless results. The quality feel amazes me and when I think of what I paid for this compared to a new one like the one I just trashed I think someone must be…

Awesome purchase - my new review

I had to put 3 pergo floors in for myself and friends. I hate nailing baseboard in especially in hard to reach areas. This nailer was perfect for the job. Loads ez. They provide pneumatic oil to easily add before using. Brad nails are countersunk. So glad I purchased the nailer. I had never used one before.

  • Nailers

  • Poor weight distribution

Great Brad Nail gun at any price.

My old brad nailer of over 30 years broke and parts are no longer available. I saw this gun on ebay and couldn't believe the price. It was delivered today and I was able to finish my project with it. It had no problems and operated just as good as my old gun.I am a retired Finish Carpenter and I still stay active in my shop repairing furniture and other woodworking projects. This gun rates right up there with any of the more expensive guns I have used in my career.Remember to add a few drops of
