Not sure how this can be waterproof since the ports for the microphone are allow direct access to the microphones. However, this is a necessity to allow the microphones to function properly. I've seen others that blocked these ports and the case is near useless for phone calls.My speakers are blocked, and I wish they weren't, but they still present decent audio and I can always use a BT speaker for most of my functions.The single reason for me selecting this case was for the camera lense protection and this case provides that. If necessary I am prepared to the remove the front screen and cut a small hole out for the speakers so I can keep the case and the camera protection. The other cases i have bought and the camera lense protectors have all fallen short.The fingerprint reader works, not great but not poorly either.it works, prob 80% on the first try when i put my finger in the correct location.All is all it's a good, protective case but i suspect it's not waterproof since two openings expose the microphones.but it's what I need and worth the cost so far.Update:Turns out my unit had a small bubble in the front plastic cover. it got bigger with time and removals until my fingerprint sensor would not work at all.Continuing to buy more cheap protective covers is tiresome, so I simply removed the front plastic cover. It's NOT going to protect my glass anyway, so meh.off it came. it still protects my cameras and phone body, and now that it has an extra hole drilled by the speaker location.it sounds good now too. :-)I'm an old Recce Maintainer and cannot help myself sometimes.it's much better now and didn't cost a fortune.Good luck, hope this helps someone.
