Great alternative to the $600 pump that GE expects you to pay for its $2000 ice maker. This pump allows you to drain the ice machine when installing at floor level with no gravity drain. It turns on automatically to drain the water once the water tank reaches the trip level, and while it's not silent, the ice maker performs much worse. I removed the door from my ice maker and was able to make room for this little pump. It works great. Easy to install and understand. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE FITTINGS YOU NEED. The biggest challenge was finding the right fittings/couplings to adapt the hoses to my existing installation.
