These are great knives for the pricepoint. The blades are 5Cr15MoV stainless steel hardened to Rockwell C58, which is just about the sweet spot for a high chrome steel blade and will hold an edge very well. There is a lot to like here, The knives are 'full tang' meaning that the blade does not end at the front of the handle, but extends for the full length and is sandwiched between two pieces of pakkawood, which is known for it's density and hardness.These are nicely finished and the style and balance are nice. I like the look and feel of the knife in the hand. They come packaged in a cardboard presentation case that, although cardboard, is still pretty nice. I will leave them in the presentation box as long as I can.
