Review on Leviton 2711 Industrial Grade 30 Amp Locking Plug - NEMA L14-30P, 125/250 Volt, Grounding, Black-White by Roman Starr

This is a well made, heavy duty L14-30 plug rated at 30Amp at 240v wire. There's also a screw-in strain relief that tightens the cable so the cable doesn't pull on the connectors when you pull on them. Each of the tubes you insert the wires into is clearly labeled W, G, X, Y for the 4 wires used. This fork is well made and does its job well. I tighten the #10 wire (which should be used to support the 30 amps possible). It is designed to accommodate a wire of this size. I feed my 10-4 flex cable, it's similar to an extension cord but much thicker and quite expensive. I mainly use it to power my welder. The welder sits on a cart I built using a power distribution center. I run the cable from the cart to the wall where I have an L14-30 jack to plug it into. It works well and I really like the locking connection, it keeps things connected when the cords are a little tight.
