I'm on the road. I have a MacBook Pro and use it for audio. So I need a lot of memory. The rugged nature of this dive really attracted me. The size is great! 4TB gives me enough space to store large files. ONE PROBLEM: I almost returned this CD a day after receiving it. I started moving my smaller external hard drives to this new drive and it crashed. The transfer hung less than 1/4 of the data path. Mind you, I have a Mac and didn't reformat the drive, thinking I might as well use it on a Windows computer. I couldn't undo the frozen file transfer so I had to restart my computer. This resulted in the drive not being mounted, so now my computer does not recognize the drive. I ran Disk Doctor and Tech Tool Pro. They discovered the drive, did a little magic and reinstalled it on my desktop. So I reformatted to the Mac OS native magazine format. Since then not a single problem. Conclusion: good price. But for heaven's sake don't delete anything you copy to that drive until you're sure it's stable. And if you have a MAC, do yourself a favor by reformatting the drive.
