Review on 🌴 The Ultimate Tropical Powerhouse: Evogen AminoKEM Tropic Thunder! by Bradly Illu

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Mediocre Flavor but Above Average Potency

Rating: **Evogen AminoKEM Tropic Thunder** As an example, I've tried about 35-40 pre-workout (PWO) products over the past 20 years, including caffeinated and non-caffeinated products. I've also tried some pre and post workout supplements and pure BCAA products. PWOs are used before lifting weights, while others are used after lifting weights and for energy and recovery from cycling or other more intense cardio workouts. It seems that this Evogen product is not well known. The label and product information state that it can be used before, during and after exercise, and between meals. The ingredient list includes ingredients commonly used for recovery (e.g. EAA/BCAA) as well as a mix of ingredients for pumping (increasing NOx). It's like they're trying to make the product an all-around supplement, which is usually not a good idea. As a general rule, you shouldn't take the same type of pre-workout supplement that you take during recovery, and vice versa. like many other PWO products that focus on pre-workout supplements. The BCAA/EAA ingredient list is pretty good judging by the label. I was disappointed to see Sucralose and Ace-K on the ingredients list. The taste is ok - not terrible but I wouldn't say I enjoyed drinking it. Flavor isn't my number one priority in a supplement, so it's not a huge downside. While there are many highly potent PWO variants out there, flavor becomes a factor - there are some that are really enjoyable to drink. My overall rating for this Evogen supplement is about average for a caffeine-free PWO product. I would use it more for post-workout purposes, mainly for the BCAA/EAA components. One star was downgraded for trying to be an "everything for everything" supplement and not performing very well in any of them, and one star for mediocre flavor and incorporation of artificial flavors, sucralose, and ace- K

Pros
  • ALL 9 ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS - Essential Amino Acids are key to unlocking the power of hypertrophy (muscle growth). What helps maintain Evogen's EAA matrix is the fact that it contains reasonable doses of BCAAs, as well as all nine EAAs, including tryptophan. Unfortunately, many EAA products lack tryptophan, making them incomplete. Without the full spectrum of EAAs, the product may not be fully effective in maximizing muscle growth and recovery.
Cons
  • Very Expensive
