This took some time to put together. Not hard by any stretch, but you have to connect every piece at every corner. The frame is sturdy enough once it's together, ziptied, and in its intended location. We built a roof for ours to keep it out of the rain and to keep any falling debris out. The added weight made me feel better about the overall sturdiness if one of the cats decided to climb. (Pardon the leaves, we are landscaping that area and planting wheatgrass)My cats may just be plus size, but the shelves are not nearly sturdy enough for them to walk on. I'm still figuring out if there's a better way to arrange them so they have better support.Not bad overall, but probably better for kittens or other small animals.Additional note: try your best to build this in the same place it's going to sit in. Moving it is easy with two people because it's lightweight, but even with zipties you'll have some of the attachments coming apart
