Incredibly disappointed

I only received them today, I was excited because they were so soft. I washed them in cold water and put soap in the water BEFORE putting the sheets on. Just washed the sheets - nothing more. Dry warm. The pillowcases are not sewn along an edge, and the sheets and pillowcases are stained, I assume from soap and water? Ridiculous. We haven't eaten them in over two hours or even put them on our bed and are so disappointed.
