TAAAAAAAAA much better than the BioWheel bag - I used one and filled it with filter material, then filled the other with charcoal and phosguard and both fit snugly in my Penguin 200, with room for stuffing You more filters closer to the back. Doesn't disturb the flow at all. I can't believe they're $1 each - a media pouch is $0.30 to $1.00 each, but it's nowhere near as cool. The slots are slightly larger for fine particles, but also ensure good flow. How to wash out a lot of small particles but I don't think it was more than I needed with the media bag. The only difference is there isn't much water in the media pocket that the water goes through, the value of these things is amazing, can't believe they don't make it for my Penguin 100 which sucks. To update:. I changed my filter a long time ago, but I cut out the grooves so that the filter material fits easily in one of them. The rest still holds my cannon zeolite mix.
