I love the concept of water boots - I wear them on cruise ships, row boats, snorkel catamarans and water resorts. They open up beaches that would otherwise be too hot or too rocky to use. So I have "sneaker shape", "slipper shape" and now, thanks to Xeroshoes, "sandal shape". All have relatively thin soles, but only the Xero has a non-progressive sole, which is its hallmark. Sandals are actually the heaviest of my water boots and look like they can rival running shoes when it comes to durability. These sandals (and sneakers) are designed to be worn all day for many purposes, they can work both above and below water. They are NOT specific "slippers" for use with fins or while swimming. If you keep this in mind, they will be great. If you're looking for ultra-light slippers, look elsewhere - despite the Xero's flat sole, they definitely don't weigh slippers.
