I recently overhauled my PC and upgraded to full 4k paired with an RTX 3090 and immediately encountered strange display anomalies as well as sporadic display dropouts and HDR600 not working properly. A few minutes to diagnose The problem led me to my fairly old DP 1.1 (1.2?) cable. A quick click on the Da'zon order button and a few days later this magical cable arrived. A quick replacement and like magic (when the magic is updated to the latest standard) all my problems are gone and now my PC experience is flawless. As a bonus, HDR600 now works as expected.
