Works, but only after I've gotten it to work.
My shifter appeared to be between medium and large for rubber adapters. Instead of wrapping tape around the shifter to fit the large size snugly, I downed to the bare minimum and got myself a round file. About 10 minutes after I ditched the medium size, I was able to fit it to my 2016 Scion IM. Once it's firmly in place, shifting becomes very comfortable when changing gears.
