Review on 🚮 InSinkErator Badger 5 Garbage Disposal: Efficient 1/2 HP Continuous Feed Design in Sleek Black by Paul Opoku

Received disposal on time. Installation was easy as expected. I installed it on Wednesday. Then the next Saturday my wife cooked dinner and recycled some food scraps and the recycling stopped working. The motor still hummed, but didn't turn the blades. I used the included hex wrench on the bottom of the unit and was able to rotate the blade, but the motor still wouldn't power it. I even put my hand in it and the blade was free to spin, but the motor wasn't driving it. So my wife contacted the manufacturer. They said they had to send someone and provide a phone number to claim the 2 year warranty. The woman called. The rep treated her badly like she didn't know what she was talking about. They told her to try a few things and then call back. We did that and now they refuse to take our calls. We left a few voice messages but now her inbox is full. We still haven't received a call back and it's been over a week now. Even after installing the new device, it didn't sound exactly like the previous devices. Overall I am very dissatisfied with this transaction and the customer service. I understand units break, but idling is a terrible business model.
