The manufacturer seems to have solved the problems of other customers. I bought two and neither had frozen screws or other mechanical issues. The build quality is good in my opinion - solid and nicely finished. The problems I encountered were due to design flaws. I measured my computers and compared their dimensions to the bracket specs. They should fit well, but didn't. To adjust the vertical size, the base plate must be moved up and down in the channels on either side of the mounting bracket. The baseplate has a thumbscrew and hex screw that go into holes along the length of the channel and that's the problem. Ducts should have slots, not holes, to allow you to vary the height of a particular computer. If your computer doesn't fit exactly where the holes line up, you won't be able to securely attach your computer to the bracket. I had to do my job, not return it, I bought various rubber buffers and gaskets and spent a lot of money. Time on each computer (they were different sizes) and layers of bumpers and pads until I got a snug fit on the mount.
