Review on Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm F3.5 Macro Lens for Micro Four Thirds Cameras: A Must-Have for Stunning Close-Up Photography by Ha Joon ᠌

I shoot on the E-M10 Mark II the subject of the house and background textures on the street. For a home subject, this lens is redundant. A 14-42 kit lens is quite enough here. When I started shooting, the whale one with a pulsed flash pleasantly surprised me both in terms of sharpness and detail. Acquired later 30 mm 3.5 did not significantly improve the result. Disappointment came when shooting background textures on the street. Direct sunlight is contraindicated here, and our hero often lacks aperture in such conditions. The result is a slow shutter speed and a lot of marriage (a lot) due to blurring the picture. Even the legendary stabilizer Olympus does not help. Games with ISO and aperture do not always help out, and burst shooting is too laborious in the subsequent selection of pictures (IMHO). You also don’t really run after insects on the street with 30 mm 3.5 - few people will let you in at such a close distance, and again, the aperture ratio is often not enough. To be honest, I'm not happy with my purchase. In my situation, I think it would be right to purchase a Sigma 30 mm 2.8 with macro rings. The budget and image quality are the same, and there would be less and less problems with a lack of light.
