**UPDATE: After 2 years, Duo Temp is still working with no problems . I bought mine for $300, at that price it's worth it. Since then, the price has increased significantly to $450. If I had to buy it for $450 today I would buy the Gaggia Classic Pro which is better overall once you get over the learning curve. probably the best choice as you get a lot for the price ($300). It's hard to get a good shot, but if you have a decent grinder and take the time to work on your technique, you'll be fine. In terms of TASTE, Duo Temp Pro works great once you set it up. It requires a decent grinder (e.g. a Sette 270 / Rancilio Rocky), fresh coffee, equipment, etc. If I do it right, my latte tastes better than many in cafes. If you drink clean espresso often, or are looking for something that will last 10+ years at a great price, look no further than the Gaggia Classic. From what I've heard, Espresso does it a little better, has a higher learning curve, and is more expensive (especially after upgrades), but if you plan on having a "budget" machine for the long run, this is probably your best Bet. For lattes and cappuccinos, the difference in TASTE between Gaggia Classic and Duo Temp Pro will most likely not be noticeable, as many other factors affect the quality of latte, such as: B. the ratio of milk to espresso, the frothing method, the type of syrup used, etc. Duo Temp Pro will be the best choice for some people, but definitely not for all. Knowing what you need/want, especially considering the next 5-10 years.
