Easy to install. There is no learning curve in using it. I didn't want to crawl under the house to run wires from one side of the kitchen to the other and drill through the floor to the back of the fridge. Instead, I hung the device on the wall with a bottle next to it. I ran a 1/4" supply line through the top of the back of the cabinets to the back of the fridge. The only fitting you need to assemble is a nut and sleeve. Everything just connects to the pump. Just put the long hose in there into the 5 gallon bottle and turn on the pump. Before you connect the 1/4" hose to the fridge, place the end of it in a bucket and run the pump for a few seconds to clear the lines The good thing is when your bottle is empty to the last pint it turns off, just pull out the tube and put it in another bottle and it will turn on automatically after a few minutes when the pump turns on to fill the ice tray, it runs for about 3.5 seconds and then shuts off.The good thing is you get refined ice and if your ice maker breaks you just get water that's in a Bottle stands on the floor instead of flowing for hours while you're away, as if you were connected to city water.
