I am in the coffee business and have been buying flopgets for many years. This new model is by far the best. The stick that goes into the bottle is now disconnected from the motor. If it breaks for any reason, you can easily replace the wand. On the older 1000 series, if a tube broke, you had to buy a brand new flopget. I would give this product five stars because it works like I hoped it would. The problem is that it gives the water a chemical, plastic smell and taste. I didn't voice my concerns to my husband and just waited for his response. He said the water tasted strange after drinking it. Has been working fine for a while, no problems. Runs well and is pretty quiet. I use it to pump a 5 gallon tank into my water ionizer car, works really well for this application. It doesn't seal the neck of the bottle well, it's just held in place by gravity, but it seems to work fine. The tube isn't that long, but if you have everything you need handy, that's not a problem. First of all I am referring to the BW1000A which I have had since 2012 about 2 weeks ago. And it stopped working just because I dropped it. Easy to install. There is no learning curve in using it. I didn't want to crawl under the house to run wires from one side of the kitchen to the other and drill through the floor to the back of the fridge. Terrible terrible pump. I used this pump in my RV fresh water system and it broke in less than a year. The concept and ease of installation is brilliant as all you have to do is drop the pump tube into the Reliance water jug. But the pump is very bad.
