Terrible terrible pump. I used this pump in my RV fresh water system and it broke in less than a year. The concept and ease of installation is brilliant as all you have to do is drop the pump tube into the Reliance water jug. But the pump is very bad. The system worked for several months and then stopped pumping water (engine and lights on but no water). I immediately bought an identical Flo jet pump from Amazon. Out of the box the new pump did not work at all. I called Flo Jets customer service and it was fantastic; They put me straight through to one of their engineers named Roland. I read him both serial numbers and we found out that both models were produced in 2019 (ie 2021). He told me to send the "newer" pump back to Amazon, and he had me go through a few steps for the remaining pump until we could get it to work (hold the wand upside down to restore suction, etc.). The pump worked for one day and then failed completely. I called Roland again and he offered to send in a new pump if it was still under warranty, which was doubtful given its age. At that point I gave in and ordered a traditional Seaflo style RV pump and it works great. I have a feeling that the constant movement of this pump is affecting its motor. Whether in a box or in an environment like a van. If you use this pump in a stationary environment like your home or business, you might be fine. Also, make sure your device is from 2021 and request a refund if it's older than mine.
