When delivered (from China), the box was opened on one end, held together by plastic yellow straps (like they use to reassemble burst boxes), and delivered to the door with the open end down. That made it fun having to lay it down and transit each piece inside one by one. The hex tool included stripped itself almost right away and was useless about 10 minutes in. The assembly instructions could be better. When assembling the chairs, mount the pieces to the seat FIRST, then connect the pieces together. And use a drill because those 30mm screws take forever otherwise. And since the hex tool is crap use a ratchet with a T25 bit to use on everything you can't easily get a drill at. Also use the ratchet to snug down all the screws.The metal pieces are only cushioned by a thin plastic bag, so expect scratches and dings. The glass table top is protected with plastic corner pieces (the glass itself is rounded) and stiff styrofoam on all sides and edges and inside of its own cardboard box. Given the delivery and shape the box was in I was surprised there wasn't a lot of damage.It's small. A lot smaller than you think it would be. Oh, 2 people can eat at it fine but if you have guests you'll have to leave the meal in the kitchen or get a folding table.The bonus place mats look very nice but I haven't tested how well they hold up to heat (plates get hot). They feel like thin plastic so they might not be able to handle much. 4 of these place mats cover nearly the entire table in such a way that you might want to only use 2 of them or just put a table cloth on.There is a "Tempered Glass" sticker on the glass that leaves residue when removed, so have Goo Gone available.Now, all this said, it is a very fine table and should work fine for the two of us. If you have more than 2 people eating, look for something bigger.
