Update - 1 year later (2020) - first photo last winter, second photo April 20th, we haven't had to touch the cover since. We closed it this fall these clips are very good there are 50mph gusts today and don't worry they will hold up, highly recommended. 2019 - I bought these to protect my above ground pool cover. As you probably know, these cheaper covers are held in place by a string, so after a storm the cover ended up in the pool. It's been a particularly rainy year, so I needed something that would work. I bought a set of 8 of these clips still wind and rain and the lid lifted but thanks to these clips they didn't budge an inch! It's a large pool 22ft wide so I ordered a second pack of 12, we just had 5 inches of snow in high winds and as you can see in the photo these clamps are holding up great even under the weight of the snow. Highly recommended.
