Bought a used version from Amazon warehouse and it worked with the press of a few buttons once plugged in. No problems adding it to the house so far. Didn't test it after installing. A clear click can be heard when remotely turning on and off; Which won't be a problem as I plan to place this particular connector in an inconspicuous corner for the lamp. However, due to the loudness of the clicks, I wouldn't install it in a bedroom. Instead, I would opt for a smart lightbulb for silence.
