I had a similar device that made it impossible to use a nearby outlet once it was plugged in. This plug does not work, so you can use a nearby outlet if necessary. The USB output jacks (3) provide enough power for tablets, phones, portable speakers, and cameras, but won't allow you to charge your laptop. (3) AC plugs can output up to 1250W, so you can connect a low-power hair dryer, but not multiple high-power devices at the same time. The compact size also makes this plug ideal for travel. One single-packaged plug can be used for both AC and multiple USP devices. In general I am very satisfied.
