Installation was fairly easy and took about 15 minutes in ideal conditions. You will need at least a wrench to loosen the old fittings and a screwdriver to remove it from the toilet seat. Useful to have duct tape for plumbers; A layer between the fittings helps ensure no leaks occur. It's also helpful to have a pot of hot water to soften the clear plastic tube before attempting to install it. I used a pair of sturdy scissors to cut off the excess tubing prior to installation. The instructions never say "put a clear plastic disc on the adapter fitting" and it's easy to get lost, but if you don't remove it the ensemble will leak like crazy. When installing the device under the toilet seat, move the water control lever back and forth, making sure the nozzle has a gap and does not hit the edge of the toilet. The device fits under the back of the toilet seat. So if you don't buy seat bumpers (sold separately for about $4), you're going to stress and (eventually) break the seat. Sitting upside down is weird too. If you live in a cold area, buy one that heats the water.
