I bought this to use as a 'dog doorbell'. When I'm working outside in the summer, my black lab gets hot and wants to come inside long before I'm ready. But I often work from home. This allows my dog to "ring" the doorbell and let my wife know she wants to come in (instead of making her wait in the hot garage until I'm done with work). This works great and the dog has learned to walk quickly. into the sensor area and wait for my wife to open the door. Because my dryer's outlet is within range of the sensor, I've had many "false alerts" when the dryer is running. I just adjusted the sensor above the dryer outlet and the problem is solved. Good product.
