Works great for what I need it for, strong magnet but not strong enough that I'll slice my fingers trying to pick up the razor blades I throw on it. Not sure why I thought it would be ceramic or metal, but like the description says it's plastic. Keep in mind that this is only magnetic in the bottom of the tray and the sides/lip is not
