Custom Nozzle Size & Geometry

I have not yet installed this hardened steel nozzle but have found that its cone is significantly longer than any other Volcano nozzle I have owned. The thread length matches the flat of the union nut, but the cone angle is steeper, resulting in extra length - measured by eye it's about 2-3mm longer than the cone of a traditional Volcano nozzle. As the rest of the hot end remains unchanged, this means that the nozzle tip is 2-3mm closer to the build plate and the build plate must always be lowered the same amount when this nozzle is installed (and vice versa when changing to a conventional injector). This is uncomfortable at best for those who use manual bed leveling like me, and can be disastrous at worst if carelessness causes damage from contact with the bed. Perhaps the filament is less likely to twist and stick to the steeper-tapered parts of the nozzle? Perhaps this nozzle will print equally well with both abrasive and regular filaments, reducing or nearly eliminating the need to change nozzles? Cone with no explanation or installation warnings.
