Review on ๐Ÿš— Timed Tekonsha Pro Series POD Trailer Brake Controller for 1-2 Axles by Tim Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great brake controller for a man who doesn't ride very far.

First of all I would like to say that I bought this to mount under the dash of my 2001 F-150 which came pre-wired with a tow kit. I am under 18 feet. I planned to only use the camper during the hunting season. After fixing the RV we decided it was good enough to take to several local state parks. Bought because of price and reviews. This brake controller applies the brakes depending on where you turn the controller. Green almost doesn't slow down, yellow is average and red is harder. You can also apply the brakes manually without touching the foot brake by using the slider on the front of the unit. It's easy to reach down and change the watch face based on road class etc. More expensive devices will do this for you. This one doesn't work by the inertia created by your car's movement. In this case, this device is installed in any position, without taking into account the filament used in inertial devices. I knew that before I bought it and I was happy. We don't plan on driving more than an hour and the routes to all three parks are rarely congested and have lower speed limits. This machine meets my needs and fits my budget perfectly.

Pros
  • Sturdy easy to install chassis, mounting hardware included
Cons
  • Useless features
