Very strong! One of the first "serious” magnets I bought to add to my starter kit. As a starter magnet, I would suggest ordering a kit with ropes, gloves, and a smaller but decently sized magnet and bundling the kit with this magnet, as you have the option to set this magnet up to suit your location (lifting vs dragging). As for strength, it hasn’t had a good chance to latch onto something good enough for me to know exactly how well it is. It is very thick, but not quite as heavy and awkward as the second 1000+lbs strength magnet I ordered with this. Beware, it took two days to separate the two magnets after one slight bump made them collide. Overall, out of all 4 magnets of varying strength and size, I find myself using this one most.TLDR: Pros include the side eyehole option, strength from what I’ve seen is great, the size isn’t too big and awkward to throw, weight isn’t as heavy as other magnets of the same strength.Cons include it taking two days to detach from another magnet but that’s more operator error so eh.
