I bought this product because I didn't want to put velcro on my expensive flash. The gels are already pre-cut to the perfect shape to attach to any flash with a standard elastic, and the perfect elastic is already included! At first I was disappointed because the elastic strap that came with it wasn't the same shape as the first one. I saw a product image here on Revain. The one in the picture has a few slits to make installing the gels easier. What I have is just a solid black rubber band with a dimple on it. Any 1/2 inch rubber band will do, to be honest. But one is black (suitable for most flashes) and very high quality. You put the rubber band a little further forward on the flash head and leave it there. To install the gels, you need to lift the elastic band on the side slightly and slide the narrow end of the gel under the band. Once you do this on each side, the gel will stay in place and completely cover the reflector. After doing this a few times it became very easy. I can change gels in seconds. This system also has the added benefit of being able to mount multiple gels at once. I can easily use these gels with my enhanced Flash bounce card or with the Rogue Flash Bender bounce card attached. Very high quality gels. The light they give off is even and predictable. After repeated use, none of my gels are wrinkled or damaged. The entire set comes in a handy carry bag. Inside the bag there are dividers to sort all the gels. And inside the packaging are ID cards listing the name, color and light loss of each gel. Plus, the same information is printed on each gel, making it easy to keep things organized and get exactly what you need without the guesswork. At less than half an inch thick, it fits easily in any pocket or camera bag. A very well thought out and high quality set.
