I was looking for a starter kit for my Canon flashes (580 EX II and 2x 430 EX II). I bought one of these and will now probably get a color grading kit that has 3 gels of each color. These gels fit easily on any flash and are significantly larger than a flash head so no time is wasted aligning. These gels are great. The Roguegrid can be tricky and a little fiddly to set up at times, but its use of gels is one area where it far outperforms some of its competitors. I bought this product because I didn't want to put velcro on my expensive flash. The gels are already pre-cut to the perfect shape to attach to any flash with a standard elastic, and the perfect elastic is already included! First of all I would like to say that I am satisfied with this product. Documentation is sufficient, filters work as expected. On the physical side, the filters are a good size and even fit my large flashes or flashes with a zoom adapter. The relatively long side ribs also allow you to position the strap closer or further away from the flash head. If I was only using this for a set of flashes I would probably trim them to better fit the width of the flash head as that way you could use…
