I love these gels! Endless creative possibilities.

I love these gels! This is my first time working with gel. Having a daughter who has been in tech theater for almost 10 years and having worked in theater for several years, I was already familiar with lighting gels and have always been fascinated by the endless creative possibilities that lighting gels offer. The first gels I used from the Rogue set were red and used a white background. Color intensity depends on where your flash is "pointed", how close or far your flash is to the background and/or subject, and shutter speed. There are many options to work with, but it's interesting to see what you can create. I had no problem securing the gels on the flash and removing them with a rubber band. Luckily, this "chewing gum" has little grooves on each side to make it much easier to grab, unlike a regular rubber band that you had to fiddle with. , Sunpak 544. But that was to be expected. Sunpak 544 is a monster. Needless to say I just love playing with new gels and learning what correction gels are capable of by watching online tutorial videos. First put the elastic on the flash head and then attach the ends of the gel to the tabs on the elastic.
