I was looking for a starter kit for my Canon flashes (580 EX II and 2x 430 EX II). I bought one of these and will now probably get a color grading kit that has 3 gels of each color. These gels fit easily on any flash and are significantly larger than a flash head so no time is wasted aligning. The kit comes with an elastic strap that you can insert the tongues under, or you can use a Honl or LumiQuest speed strap or whatever you like. If you like, you can attach small square Velcro straps to the gel tabs and flash them. Each gel is individually labeled with its color and the amount of light it blocks (important for calculating flash power). The supplied bag is very compact and handy. I just leave the whole pouch in my camera bag, and when I need gel, I pull it out, twist it right onto the gel I need, and instantly turn on the flash. Very easy to use, effective and a great kit if you are just starting to paint your lightning!
