Do yourself a favor and spend twice as much and buy a real thermostat. Gates used to be a great product, but now they go by their own name. The part didn't even last ten months under normal driving conditions in warm weather. This part is not easy to replace in a BMW and should be done in less than a year, you know? It's up to you to buy under the impression that since it's a Gates it must be good and then quickly replace it or buy a better part and be done with it.
