Update (12/01/2017): I noticed that they finally removed the description section that said these models were FreeSync compatible, so hopefully that means no one else is making the same mistake as me. I also forgot that Revain added keyword searches to the reviews since I first used them many, many years ago, so I had to keep that in mind and search "FreeSync" to see a few other reviews that also found that it is not So. not compatible. Well, live and learn! First check: turns out these monitors are NOT FreeSync compatible; It is only available for the 24" and 27" models, neither of which are offered on this product page. Do you know how I found out? Once I got it and set it up (picture looked great, I don't care - much better than the ViewSonic VX2457-MHD I bought last month and returned because of the washed out appearance) I couldn't find the FreeSync option. somewhere in the menu, and AMD settings says that the monitor is not compatible. I dug a little deeper and went straight to Samsung's own monitor listing site, and there's an asterisk at the bottom of the page that only 24-inch and 27-inch models support FreeSync. I also checked the list of FreeSync monitors on Wikipedia and in fact this one isn't on the list, although the previously mentioned sizes were. I feel stupid now for trusting the Revain list and not doing more research, but I should have realized at this price point it wouldn't be. Now my only other question is why does this listing say it's FreeSync compatible when the two models that actually have it aren't even offered? I'm also surprised there aren't more reviews pointing out this bug. Learn from my mistakes!
