I'm giving 2 stars, 1 because they arrived on time and look exactly as advertised and another because they *really* work, FUCK they ALWAYS turn on and off at random times despite my scheduled time. . We recently left the house and returned, my grandmother SITTING IN THE DARK because the timer wouldn't go off. It's happened to dogs before, but they're dogs, so it wasn't that bad. I've tried deleting and reassigning them so many times that they're still confused. I'm not sure if it gives the impression that I'm in a different time zone or something else because it always seems to be 5 hours off. This is very uncomfortable. If you also want to work with them remotely, you need to go to your app's settings and allow the app to access your data. Good luck, I hope you have less trouble with this than I do. like connecting to wifi and using your smart device for control, especially for a plug in a hard to reach spot, but I bought them SPECIFICALLY for the scheduling/timer feature and that just isn't the case. Update: I'm deducting a star. I ended up enabling location for this app, which isn't a permission I want to give to *every* app. This seemed to help, but I'm still having trouble with them randomly turning on and off. Last night we fell asleep on the couch while watching a movie and at 2am all 4 devices accidentally turned on and woke us up. I thought there was a power surge, but it usually affects the microwave and not in this case, so I have no idea. This isn't the first time they've come in the middle of the night. I woke up in our room to see a light coming out from under the door and that was because the living room "magically" came on. Not only does it disturb my sleep, stress me out and waste electricity, one of the outlets is connected to a camera and despite the technology I don't think it's 100% hack proof so I don't like it more than necessary (which is why I got the bought forks). Finally, these plugs don't seem to turn on as scheduled when I'm not at home and using the same WiFi. If I want the schedule to work so the dogs don't sit in the dark I have to set the ALERT REMINDER to go into the app and turn it on manually OR just buy another timer that *actually* works.
