Overall, these are solid crossbars. The instructions were basically worthless as were the instruction videos. The item is not hard to figure out with a couple of important caveats. So hopefully this information helps.First. These bars are shaped like a planes wing. That is intentional, they need to be mounted in the same way, thicker rounded edge towards the front of the vehicle. Doing this gets rid of almost 99% of the noise problems. The wind passing over the bars creates noise. you cant stop it, but get this one step correct, and you wont even notice it after 1 mile.If you can, avoid your Sun / Moon Roof. the wind can buffet the glass, causing noise.Second, test fit the short and long bar (one bar is shorter than the other). The instructions say the short bar goes in the front. On mine, it didn't.Once I spent about 30 minutes all told, they were on, and rock solid. After 200 miles, they are still rock solid.One major con. The black plastic caps on either side, affect the actual width of the product. So know the width of your planned cargo box or rack and plan accordingly. Mine is a little big, and can be a little difficult to lock down. But we are talking seconds to adjust, nothing major.Due to having to figure things out, watch some mildly pointless videos, I took a star away. Otherwise, solid product, holds the weight it says it does, good value for the money.
